Three Home Improvements That Will Increase the Value of Your Furnished Apartment

Selling a home in today’s declined economy is harder than ever.  If you plan to put your home on the housing market it would be wise to invest a little in some home improvement projects that may greatly increase the value of your home and appeal to more buyers.

Adding a room onto your furnished apartments will increase the square footage, the number of rooms and the value.  If done wisely–catching building materials on sale, doing a lot of your own work, etc. will help to minimize the investment into such a venture.  If you can’t pull off adding a whole room, look about expanding an existing room, or converting the garage, or even half of a double garage.

With all the storms lately, winter snowstorms and summer thunder storms and even hurricanes that travel up the east coast, many homes know what it’s like to be without electricity.  This is a good time to add a generator for backup power.  Today’s generators are small and can be set up right alongside the outdoor air conditioning unit.  If you power goes out the home will have energy restored within seconds.  This addition will be well worth the investment.

The kitchen is one room that can become dated fast.  Updating a kitchen can add a lot more value to the home and can help to increase the selling price.  Start with replacing the drawer and cabinet door hardware, which can give the room a minor facelift.  Painting the cabinets will give it a fresh new look.  If you can swing it replace the appliances with newer matching ones.

These are just minor improvements but they can really set a home off and turn a passerby into a definite buyer.
